1992 Gold Medalist Peter Antonie

Over the past 30 years, Australia has had some outstanding Rowers at an international level, who have starred at the Olympics.
 
One of our best is 1992 Olympic Gold medalist in the Double Sculls, Peter Antonie, who won gold with Stephen Hawkins.
 
Peter's durability, determination, and penchant for hard work have seen him represent Australia for more than 20 years. He also won a world title and a commonwealth Games Gold medal and was awarded with an order of Australia.

Today, my guest is one of the leading sports commentators in the country. He has broadcast every sport at a high level including Melbourne Cups, Numerous AFL Grand Finals, Test cricket and Swimming at the Olympic Games.
 
His Olympic Games Commentary Journey continues with the Host broadcaster from Australia on Channel Nine. He will call the track events in Athletics alongside Tamsyn Lewis and Multiple Olympic Gold medalist, American superstar, Michael Johnson.

Burras Coach and Former Kookaburra Jay Stacy

Jay Stacy is one of the most capped Australian Men's hockey players representing the Kookaburras In over 321 games in a stellar 12-year career including 4 Olympic Games, which netted a 4 Olympic Games, which netted a 4th, a silver medal and 2 Bronze medals.  He is now coaching the Australian under-21 team. It was a pleasure to chat on Dashing Dan's Olympic Adventures for Aussie Home Homes with one of the greats of Australian men's Hockey.

Steve Foley

Steve Foley is attending his 12th Olympic Games the First three as an Olympic Diver in 1976, 1980 and 1984, he attended two as a commentator with the late Great Drew Morphett Commentating the Diving in 1996 and 2000 and the others he has been High-Performance Manager for Team Great Britain, USA and at these Games Australia...

5 Time Olympian Melissa Wu

Melissa WU is an Australian Diving Legend with four top-five finishes in the 10-metre Platform at consecutive Olympic Games, dating back to 2008 when she won Silver as a 16-year-old.
 
She also won Bronze at the 2021 Olympics and has won 3 gold medals at the Commonwealth Games in a stellar career.
 
Paris will be her fifth Olympics, the most ever by an Australian Diver.
 
She found time in a training camp in  London before the Games only a week away to join me on Dashing Dan's Olympic Adventures for Aussie Home Loans..

Weightlifter Robert Kabbas

Robert Kabbas is a three-time Olympian for Australia in Weightlifting, one of only two Australians to represent the sport at three Olympics. 
Australia has only won 4 medals in the Olympics in weightlifting and Robert has one of those silvers from LA in 1984. He has a great story to tel about his long involvement in the sport and being an Olympic medalist

Marathon Legend Steve Moneghetti

One of your greatest ever Olympians in appearances and considering the event was Steve Moneghetti, who raced in four Marathons at the Olympics, which Included three top ten finishes.
 
He also won three medals as well as a gold in the 1994 Commonwealth Games in Victoria.
 
He has also served as an administrator as a chef De mission for three Commonwealth Games and not only will go down as a great Olympian but a popular Olympian...

Melinda Gainsford Taylor

Melinda Gainsford Taylor was a star Australian Sprinter in the 100 and 200 metres and represented Australia at the Commonwealth Games in the 1990s and was part of the team that represented Australia in Sydney 2000. She has won World Indoor titles and had the same coach, the legendary Jackie Byrne from 8 until retirement, who had played a big part in her life. Oarsome Foursome Drew Ginn

Recently six-time Rowing Olympian, James Tomkins joined us on Dashing Dan's Olympic Adventures. Today it's his turn to be part of the Program and he has a record just as good as James. Tomkins won three Gold and bronze and so did Drew as one one of the Gold was with the Famous Oarsome Foursome with James Tomkins and two in the Pairs.

Olympic debutant Ebony Lane

Our guest today will make her Olympics Debut towards the end of the games in Paris at the main stadium in one of the most exciting events the 4 by 100 metres relay.
Ebony Lane has worked hard from running Stawell Gifts to performing really well when training on her own during the Pandemic in 2020.
